Friederike Lassen was appointed Chairwoman of the German Hydrogen Association <br />(DWV) by its Executive Board, effective November 1st 2024. In this role, she <br />represents the interests of DWV members vis-à-vis the federal government and <br />reports directly to the Executive Board. <br />Prior to this, Friederike Lassen headed the Policy and Regulation Department at DWV, <br />where she was responsible for analyzing national and European legislative processes <br />in the field of renewable energies-particularly hydrogen and fuel cells. She also <br />developed the association's positions on energy policy issues and coordinated them <br />internally and externally. <br />From 2011 to 2021, she worked as a Senior Policy Advisor in the German Bundestag, <br />most recently focusing on budget policy within the field of economic and energy <br />policy. She studied North American Studies with a focus on law and economics at the <br />John F. Kennedy Institute of Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Potsdam, <br />graduating with a Magistra Artium degree in 2011.
