Francois H. Cornelis, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Radiology and at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, and Weill Cornell Medical College. Beyond the interventional neuro oncology he is developing at MSKCC, his long-term clinical and research work focuses on pain palliation and image-guided ablation of soft tissue tumors, with a sustained interest in cryoablation for benign and malignant lesions including endometriosis, desmoid tumors, and vascular malformations. He has been among the leading investigators in the development of percutaneous cryoablation since 2010, and particularly for abdominal wall endometriosis since his first published experience in 2014 in CVIR.
