<p>Francesco Cupertino graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 1997, where he is now a full professor of Converters, Machines, and Electric Drives.</p> <p>He has spent his entire academic career at the University—as a student, a teacher, and, from 2019 to 2025, as Rector. During his tenure, he guided the institution through a period of significant transformation, strengthening the ties between the university, the business sector, and the local community.</p> <p>Today, Cupertino continues to focus on research and innovation in the energy, aerospace, and electric mobility sectors, fostering public-private partnerships and supporting the development of startups and young researchers.</p> <p>He is convinced that the future of the university lies in its ability to create connections—between people, knowledge, and opportunities.</p>
