Fanny-Carlotta Rotino is a Child Protection Specialist for the Child Online Protection (COP) initiative at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Acting as ITU’s focal point and global project manager on child online protection, she manages global partnerships and programmes at ITU Headquarters and provides support to ITU regional offices around the world to introduce and improve prevention and response to online risks and harms for children. Prior to joining ITU, Fanny has worked in both non-governmental and international organisations on child rights with a specific focus on child protection and child participation, on intersectoral partnerships, and on the sustainable development goals. Fanny holds a Masters’ Degree in international relations and peace and conflict studies from the Goethe University in Frankfurt a.M. with a specific focus on human rights and humanitarian aid.
