Dr. Eric Weisser is the Head of Ventures, Open Innovation, and Customer Innovation at Ingredion. This position affords him a comprehensive perspective on Ingredion’s internal innovation portfolio and expanding the network of incubators, startups, and external research programs. His objective is to align the requirements of strategic accounts with long-term innovation initiatives. Eric began his tenure at Ingredion in 1998 in Bridgewater, NJ. He held various Material Science and Process Innovation positions before relocating to Hamburg in 2013 to lead the Technical Service function. He then moved to Singapore, where he directed the innovation, PLM, and marketing teams for nine years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
