Elisabet Cirici i Amell is a senior architect trained at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), with a strong background in urban planning management. She holds a master’s degree and several postgraduate qualifications in urban management. She currently serves as General Director for Urban Planning and Architecture at the Department of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition of the Government of Catalonia. Her career spans a wide range of senior roles within the Catalan Land Institute (INCASÒL) and different departments of the Government of Catalonia. She has held positions including Director of Residential and Economic Activity Land, Director of Economic Activity Operations, General Director of Urban Planning, and Deputy Director of Land and Housing. Early in her career, she worked as an architect on infrastructure projects for the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. Alongside her professional responsibilities, she has been actively involved in teaching.
