<p>Ed has been in the non-life insurance industry for over 30 years, a qualified actuary with experience across underwriting and broking.  Based in Tokyo, he is currently chief actuary and head of strategic advisory for Guy Carpenter covering the Asia Pacific region.  He has particular expertise in pricing and product development/innovation, chairing both the Pricing Research Group and Insurtech and Innovation Working Party for the UK Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.  </p> <p>Prior to joining GC in 2023, he was group chief actuary at Sompo Holdings, and before that worked in international roles with Everest Re and Chubb (ACE) based in London. </p>
