Dr. Virtudes Rubio Díaz is Head of Advanced Materials at Lucideon , leading the development of advanced ceramics and ceramic matrix composites (CMCs). She has over a decade of experience across academia and industry in the UK and Europe. After completing her PhD in Bioceramics in Spain, she worked at Loughborough University and the University of Birmingham, specialising in ultra-high temperature CMCs and contributing to major programmes including MBDA-funded projects and EU Horizon 2020 C3HARME. She spent eight years at the NCC advancing composite manufacturing for ceramic systems. At Lucideon , she drives CMC strategy, innovation, scalable manufacturing, and UK supply chain capability.
