Dr. Stephanie Lam

Research Associate · University of Guelph · company speakers →

Born and raised in Ontario, Stephanie grew her passion for agriculture when she studied beef cattle research at the University of Guelph, completing her PhD in beef genetics and genomics. Her experiences led to working in Lacombe, Alberta at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada studying meat science, which helped her learn the challenges and priorities across the whole value-chain. From there Stephanie worked for Genome Alberta, a not-for-profit organization that connects partners and accelerator programs that will lead to agriculture and agri-food industry and producer benefits. As a researcher by training, she actively served the community by helping new researchers in agricultural science build communication and leadership skills.
