Dr. Michael Lang finished his PhD at KIT on degradation mechanisms of commercial lithium ion cells in 2017. After working for almost two years in project management for ACTIA I+ME in Braunschweig, managing several bus, train and heavy duty vehicle battery projects, he joined the Volkswagen Group in January 2019. Beside being part owner for the developed cells, he cared about the topic of cell design mainly. After PowerCo SE was founded in July 2022, his responsibilities stayed the same. In October 2023, he took over the lead of the cell design team, taking care of the development of the cells within the LFP department.
