Dr. Ian-Malcolm Rijsdijk is a senior lecturer at the University of Cape Town's Centre for Film and Media Studies. An expert on filmmaker Terrence Malick, South African film, television, and wildlife documentaries, he has taught screenwriting for 15 years. In 2022, he taught on the David Lynch MFA program. He has received prestigious teaching awards, including UCT's Distinguished Teacher's Award and a national teaching excellence award.
