Ekaterina Sergeeva, PhD, is the Functional Safety Manager in Accelera by Cummins and is responsible for the delivery of battery products compliant with ISO 26262. Ekaterina’s expertise also includes designing and implementing advanced battery management systems algorithms and developing and integrating BMS functional safety concepts for different EV architectures. Starting as a BMS SW developer, she went the whole way from software components implementation to managing the whole battery management and charging systems development, supporting systems through in-vehicle integration and validation. With years of experience in the industry, Ekaterina has developed a deep understanding of the complex interplay between various software and electronics components, implementing key industry approaches to create efficient, safe, and reliable systems to drive the future of transportation.
