Dohyung is a Data Science Lead at UNICEF’s Giga Initiative with more than decades of experience working on geospatial analysis and remote sensing applications. He earned his PhD. from the University of Maryland in 2015 focusing on the use of remote sensing data for global scale Land Cover and Land Use Change analysis. His work on pan-tropical deforestation analysis has been introduced in many news outlets such as the Washington post and Reuters. Since joining UNICEF in 2017, his major interest is applying remote sensing and AI/ML to support the achievement of ESG goals and SDGs.
