David Elson is Head of Materials and Manufacturing at Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency. He leads a multidisciplinary team of specialists supporting UK businesses to innovate and scale, strengthening the resilience, sustainability, and competitiveness of British industry. The team works closely with the High Value Manufacturing Catapult to help companies design, develop, and deliver impactful innovation, and also hosts the UK National Contact Point for Horizon Europe Cluster 4: Industry. Innovate UK’s engagement with the sector is guided by the Materials and Manufacturing Vision 2050 .
