Charley has been leading on Ofgem’s Data Best Practice Principles for over two years now, after switching to the field of energy system data and policy from an investigative background, including nearly a decade as a detective. He has worked for Ofgem since 2018, with a brief stint in DCMS, and is currently engaged in expanding the Data Best Practice to other areas of the energy sector. Charley sees good use of data as a foundation for almost all improvements that are required to reach Net Zero, and to build the future energy system.
