Carol is a qualified nurse and Patient Handling Consultant by background, with extensive professional experience at strategic organisational, national and global levels, in both influencing and implementing evidence based safe patient handling and hygiene practices and promoting functional mobility. She has held strategic Patient Handling advisor roles in the NHS and private practice for over 27 years including roles on the Executive board of National Back Exchange (professional membership association) between 2011 - 2017, including Chair, influencing practice and policy at a National strategic level through key stakeholders. Her current role as Director, Global Medical Affairs – Patient Handling and Hygiene, for Arjo, involves providing clinical expertise in strategy and product development processes, to support clinical usability and justification of customer value within patient handling and hygiene portfolios. She has responsibility for defining and creating relevant clinical assets and tools to support products and solutions with global and local stakeholders.
