Carol Saunders, Ph.D., FACMG, is a clinical molecular geneticist and the Division Director of the Clinical Genetics and Genomics Laboratory at Children's Mercy - Kansas City (CMKC). She co-developed the CMKC genomics program, which is at the forefront of applying genomic approaches for the rapid and early diagnosis of childhood disease. Her lab has validated many genomic tests for clinical use, including long read genome sequencing.
