Bhargavi Chekuri is an assistant professor of family medicine and faculty at the Climate & Health Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she co-directs the Diploma in Climate Medicine and the Climate & Health Science Policy Fellowship with a focus on preparing health professionals to practice in a changing climate. She co-chairs the Planetary Health Collaborative at the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. Chekuri’s areas of interest include the intersection of primary care, community medicine, and climate change, with a concentration on systems medicine and health and gender equity. She has served as a technical contributor to the 5th National Climate Assessment, the United States's congressionally mandated report on climate change impacts, and presented extensively on the intersection of health and the environment. Chekuri is also a primary care doctor in the Denver metropolitan area.
