Full Professor of Information Processing Systems at the University of Naples Federico II. He serves as the Rector’s Delegate for Innovation and Third Mission, Director of the DIGITA Academy, and Director of the ERMES Interdepartmental Center. He acts as a reviewer and evaluator of research and development projects funded by numerous national and international governments and agencies. Antonio Pescapè’s teaching and research activities focus on artificial intelligence, Internet security, and Internet management. He has authored more than 300 publications in international journals and conference proceedings. He is a columnist for several national newspapers, including Corriere, la Repubblica, and Il Mattino. In October 2023, he received the “Credere nella Ricerca” award from the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella.
