Alan is Chief Executive of the Textile Recycling Association (TRA) and a leading voice on global textile reuse and recycling policy. He represents the sector across UK, EU and international forums, advising governments, institutions and industry on trade, Extended Producer Responsibility, waste shipments and circular economy policy. Alan is also General Delegate of the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) Textiles Division and a board member of the Recycling Europe Textiles Division, and contributes to multiple EU-funded projects focused on sorting, recycling and circular textiles systems.
