My name is Adrián Aguilar Villamor and I am Mechanical Engineer (Energy and Heat transfer), from Madrid Polytechnic University I also have a Master in Nuclear Engineering. I have work experience of about 5 years as a Mechanical CFD Engineer in different companies in the energy sector (Gas Natural, EA and ESS) . My daily work is to perform the mechanical, thermal and CFD design of components of nuclear reactors and research accelerators, facilities including ITER, CERN and ESS (European Spallation Source). To carry out these functions use the Ansys software, so I have considerable experience, especially in Ansys Fluent and in addition in the mechanical and thermal modules of Ansys. With them I have made numerous simulations trying to reproduce in the most reliable way possible the behaviour of different components of mentioned facilities in normal operation, accidental sequences, transients, etc. These simulations have been used for the design, manufacture and licensing documentation sent to corresponding regulatory authorities. As complementary tool to the commercial CFD, I use the Python programming language. As well as mathematical Matlab software. Parallel to my professional activity I have also done online and face-to-face training courses to deepen more in the simulations and numerical methods applicable to engineering (Finite Volumes, Finite Differences, Finite Elements) in general studying the bases of these techniques, as well as other more specific to be updated in the fluids and heat transfer engineering tools.
