Toma Stenko from Georgia known for her powerful and evocative works that explore the intricacies of love, was chosen following a collaboration between Jumeirah Creekside Hotel and the 2023 edition of WAD in March. She arrived at the 292-key hotel in October 2023 to take up the fourth annual artist’s residency. Her time there will culminate in a captivating exhibition from 7 – 28 December 2023, where visitors can experience her trademark kaleidoscope of colour and emotion and unique style of large-scale pieces that balance movement and stillness, offering viewers a glimpse into the invisible and the infinite.

Toma Stenko was selected from hundreds of artists at the World Art Dubai based on the artwork she displayed at this year's fair. This dynamic approach to our art residency programme connects local and international artists through enriched fair programmes that support the thriving ecosystem of artists here in Dubai.
