<p paraeid="{a2b9540d-54fb-4584-bef6-e2a7c7195579}{10}" paraid="1185464887">Gemma Stannard is a senior police staff leader who has worked in policing for over 25&nbsp;years. She has&nbsp;significant experience&nbsp;in the business planning, strategy, change, performance, analysis,&nbsp;learning&nbsp;and evidence-based policing arenas.  She is&nbsp;accomplished&nbsp;at working at a local and at a national level; leading departments across multiple organisations; communicating with and influencing senior leaders; building strong networks with partners; leading change and improving efficiency.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{a2b9540d-54fb-4584-bef6-e2a7c7195579}{14}" paraid="1395627524">Gemma completed the Strategic Command Course in 2020. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{a2b9540d-54fb-4584-bef6-e2a7c7195579}{18}" paraid="686800744">Between April 2020 and June 2021 Gemma supported Operation Talla (the national policing response to Covid-19), leading the national recovery,&nbsp;reform&nbsp;and organisational learning programme.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{a2b9540d-54fb-4584-bef6-e2a7c7195579}{22}" paraid="277787796">In June 2021, Gemma&nbsp;was promoted into an ACO role, becoming&nbsp;the first&nbsp;Head of the NPCC Strategic Hub.&nbsp;&nbsp;In this role Gemma led the introduction of a new operating model that&nbsp;has&nbsp;strengthened&nbsp;the&nbsp;NPCC&nbsp;so it is better able deliver the policing mission through improved Collaboration, Coordination and Communication.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{a2b9540d-54fb-4584-bef6-e2a7c7195579}{26}" paraid="1303528267">Gemma is a proud member of police staff and strong advocate for promoting inclusion and equality. She is co-founder and co-chair of the National Senior Police Staff Network (SPSN) and a member of the Executive of the Senior Women in Policing (SWiP) network.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p paraeid="{99b73fd5-cd9b-447d-8de6-846b56c1f300}{3}" paraid="1034871955">I&rsquo;m&nbsp;an operational&nbsp;Watch Commander within the UK fire and rescue service and joined&nbsp;the fire service&nbsp;as soon as possible when I turned&nbsp;18.&nbsp;I&rsquo;m&nbsp;also the founder of the&nbsp;Firefighters Podcast &amp; the&nbsp;UK based Pink Firefighters.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{99b73fd5-cd9b-447d-8de6-846b56c1f300}{6}" paraid="218094522">My&nbsp;big WHY&nbsp;in both my job as a firefighter, communicator/speaker &amp;&nbsp;as a&nbsp;fundraiser,&nbsp;comes from trying to make a difference in the world.&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{99b73fd5-cd9b-447d-8de6-846b56c1f300}{10}" paraid="1922423896">With&nbsp;an&nbsp;entrepreneurial itch from a young&nbsp;age&nbsp;I have&nbsp;ran&nbsp;many businesses and in 2020&nbsp;started the Firefighters Podcast.&nbsp;It's&nbsp;now a global podcast&nbsp;which&nbsp;has&nbsp;reached over&nbsp;500,000 listeners and growing every day. <p paraeid="{5514c0ba-d93d-4107-9efc-88424fb8e7a8}{16}" paraid="1480072904">Jon Marsden is a Detective Superintendent working on secondment to UK&nbsp;DVI&nbsp;(Disaster Victim Identification)&nbsp;from his home force of Warwickshire Police.&nbsp; He has 28&nbsp;years service, 22&nbsp;of which were spent in his previous local force, West Mercia.&nbsp; Jon is an experienced PiP3 and&nbsp;PiP&nbsp;4 Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) having spent many years within homicide commands and at various ranks.&nbsp;&nbsp;He&nbsp;is a&nbsp;long-standing&nbsp;member of&nbsp;the Homicide&nbsp;Working Group (HWG) supporting the lead&nbsp;Chief Constable Kate Meynell, specifically around Coronial matters but also in all facets of investigative work across policing.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{5514c0ba-d93d-4107-9efc-88424fb8e7a8}{58}" paraid="1643637899">Jon took an interest in Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) when seeing a recruitment advert for certain roles within force.&nbsp; In 2018 Jon was trained as a Senior Identification Manager (SIM).&nbsp; In&nbsp;addition,&nbsp;he undertook&nbsp;DVI foundation level&nbsp;training to&nbsp;ensure awareness and understanding of the core roles that officers/staff undertake when deployed.&nbsp; Jon is a passionate supporter of the DVI community and is a firm believer that&nbsp;communication and a group of experienced contacts make difficult circumstances/events that little bit easier to manage.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{5514c0ba-d93d-4107-9efc-88424fb8e7a8}{78}" paraid="541069660">Whilst in force&nbsp;Jon ensured that his local force/region was&nbsp;as prepared as could be for mass disaster events by taking on the lead SIM role.&nbsp; As part of this he committed to training events to share&nbsp;his&nbsp;knowledge/learning.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{5514c0ba-d93d-4107-9efc-88424fb8e7a8}{94}" paraid="1825263565">In&nbsp;September&nbsp;2021 Jon applied for and secured the role as national co-ordinator for UKDV

<p>Jo Fielding has 35 years of experience in West Midlands Fire Service, with a career spanning Fire Control, Policy, Emergency Planning, and now working in the Response department. She has developed a strong operational understanding of incident management and coordination. Now responsible for specialist response capabilities, Jo has been a National Interagency Liaison Officer (NILO) since 2017 and has served as the West Midlands Regional Fire Lead since 2018, attending National meetings where she represents the Fire Services within the West Midlands Region.</p> <p>Jo is also a Facilitator on the National Interagency Liaison course, a national course where she supports others developing into the NILO role.</p> <p>She is recognised for her experience in interoperability, multi‑agency coordination, and specialist operational response.</p>

<p>Mandy is a Sustainability and Social Value Specialist working within NHS procurement, with a strong focus on creating practical, meaningful change across healthcare and local communities. Her work centres on embedding sustainability, social value, ethical procurement, and community impact into procurement practices, helping organisations move beyond compliance towards long-term social and environmental improvement.</p> <p>Alongside her professional role, Mandy is known for turning ideas into action. She has led regional sustainability initiatives, developed supplier guidance and training on social value, and played a key role in creating the Social Impact Framework to improve access for VCSE and purpose-led organisations. She also chairs a regional sustainability forum and regularly works with suppliers, NHS bodies, and community organisations to encourage collaboration and innovation.</p> <p>Outside of work, Mandy is deeply involved in grassroots community projects through her community group, where she organises events, environmental initiatives, and activities designed to bring people together and strengthen community wellbeing.&nbsp;</p>

<p paraeid="{d1978b99-0aac-4b0a-a71c-8b359261ad1a}{6}" paraid="974778314">Currently Assistant Chief Fire Officer in Avon Fire and Rescue Service (AF&amp;RS), Paula's journey into firefighting began with a strong desire to serve, starting in the sector as a volunteer with the Red Cross Fire Victim Support. In 2001, Paula became a wholetime firefighter with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS), where she also worked as an on-call firefighter before later moving to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS).&nbsp;</p> <p paraeid="{d1978b99-0aac-4b0a-a71c-8b359261ad1a}{10}" paraid="1123640339">Paula has worked in a number of station-based roles, and also within Risk, Policy, and Operational Assurance, as HMICFRS Service Liaison Officer, Borough Manager of Manchester, and led Service Delivery (North) and Service Delivery Support. Paula is passionate about firefighter safety, and mental health and wellbeing with a focus on suicidology. She has a Master&rsquo;s Degree (MSc) in Thanatology which centred on the UK Fire and Rescue Service, has previously been a volunteer and Leadership Board member for an emotional support charity, and is co-chair of the NFCC Health, Safety and Welfare Suicide Prevention working group.&nbsp;</p>

<p paraeid="{a626521c-b526-4957-b355-dacca7a9c4db}{42}" paraid="308372891">Andy Rhodes OBE QPM served 30 years as a police officer and is the former Chief Constable of Lancashire Police a force of over 6000 staff.
