<p>Born into an agricultural family, Hugh developed a passion for farming from an early age. After completing his degree at Harper Adams University, he gained hands-on experience across multiple farms before joining Cogent Breeding Ltd, part of the Wheatsheaf Group.</p> <p>During his 16-year tenure with Cogent, Hugh progressed through senior roles including Livestock Procurement, National Sales Manager, and Business Development. He also served as a Board Director of a sister company, gaining extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and international business development.</p> <p>Hugh then established his own farming enterprise while providing freelance consultancy services to various agribusinesses. Recognising an opportunity in the market, he co-founded Cultura Connect in 2020 alongside experienced recruitment professional Tom Marsh.</p> <p>Hugh brings a distinctive perspective to recruitment, having hired extensively throughout his senior agricultural career. This client-side experience enables him to anticipate common recruitment challenges and ensures both clients and candidates remain central to the business approach.</p> <p>Outside the office, Hugh manages his farm with Lowline x Wagyu cattle and polled Dorset sheep, enjoys shooting, windsurfing, and is learning to wing foil.</p> <p>Hugh also serves on the Board of the British Wagyu Association.</p>

<p>Jade Prince is Head of Soil at Hutchinsons, where she leads soil health strategy across arable systems. With a strong background in agronomy, Jade works closely with farmers to improve soil structure, biology and nutrient efficiency, helping businesses build resilient, productive soils while reducing inputs and supporting long-term sustainability.</p>

Thomas is a strategic communications specialist leading outreach and engagement for the ADOPT Support Hub under the UK&rsquo;s Farming Innovation Programme. Committed to bridging the gap between emerging agricultural practices and practical, on-farm application, ADOPT helps farmers across England trial, adopt, and share innovative solutions that drive productivity and sustainability. He was also co-author of the UK Agri-Tech Centre&rsquo;s report Innovation and Technology: The Farmers&rsquo; Perspective, which explores how farmers are engaging with agri-tech and the barriers and opportunities they face on the ground. Thomas is particularly focused on supporting farmer-led research and fostering peer-to-peer knowledge exchange to enable more effective adoption of innovation across the sector.

<p>George Freeman MP</p> <ul> <li>UK Trade Envoy to Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei &amp; Philippines&nbsp;</li> <li>Deputy Chair; House of Commons Science, Innovation &amp; Technology Select Committee.&nbsp;</li> <li>Chair, All Party Parliamentary Group for AgriTech&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Elected to Parliament in 2010 after a 15yr career in technology venture capital, George has held a number of key Science &amp; Technology Ministerial roles under 4 Prime Ministers over the last 14years leading the UK&rsquo;s industrial strategies for Life Science, Agritech, Space, Quantum &amp; BioEngineering. &nbsp;</p> <p>Following his re-election to Parliament for the fifth time in 2024, he was elected Deputy Chair of the Science &amp; Technology Select Committee and appointed by the Prime Minister as UK Trade and Investment Envoy in ASEAN.&nbsp;</p> <p>Having started his working career in agriculture as a management trainee with Greens of Soham, George has been a longstanding advocate for precision agriculture, vertical farming and AgriTech. &nbsp;</p> <p>A former Non Exec Director of Elsoms Seeds, In 2007 he joined the board of the Norwich Research Park Iceni Fund&nbsp; where he oversaw the focus on AgriTech, BioMed &amp; Cleantech.&nbsp; In 2010 he was elected Chair of the All Party Group for Agritech and in 2014 as the first Minister for Agritech George launched the UK Agritech Industrial Strategy (Agritech Catalyst Fund, regional Agri Innovation Centres &amp; AgriMetrics Hub at Rothamsted).&nbsp;</p> <p>A longstanding advocate of Uk Agri regulatory leadership, he co-chaired the Taskforce on Innovation Growth &amp; Regulatory Reform. As Minister for science he championed UK regulatory leadership in gene editing through the precision breeding Act.&nbsp;</p> <p>In 2024 he was re-elected Chair of the APPG for AgriTech where he is leading the #30:50:50 campaign for a UK equivalent of the US Dept Agriculture strategy to double UK productivity while halving emissions.</p> <p>

<p>Matt was brought up on his family&rsquo;s 4th generation sheep &amp; arable farm just outside of Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand, he attended Lincoln University (NZ) then joined ANZ Bank NZ Ltd as an Agri bank manager in 2005, since then Matt has run large customer portfolios, managed large regions &amp; teams for both Rabobank and ANZ Bank with specialisations in irrigation &amp; farm syndication financing, along with offshore lending projects in the Pacific Islands and SE Asia.</p> <p>In Feb 2020 Matt joined Oxbury Bank Plc and assisted the business in gaining its banking license through to its successful launch in Feb 2021, and since then put together Oxbury&rsquo;s national sales force and continues to lead the customer facing team to major lending and revenue milestones.</p>

Toby has been working in farm management for over 25 years. Following his graduation from Harper Adams University, his career has seen Toby taken on developing a number of farming businesses across East Anglia, Oxfordshire and Southern Ireland. Toby has been Farm Manager at the Wicken Estate for 7 years, growing cereals, sugar beet, potatoes, onions and implementing practices such as reduced tillage potatoes, cover crops and grazing with the aim of enhancing soil health

With a strong background in agricultural journalism and on-farm insight, Ash works closely with growers and industry experts to deliver practical, trusted content for the arable sector.</p>
