Ali’s role as Director of Communications is to amplify CCW’s influence with government, partners and our people to achieve our vision. Ali joined CCW as Director of Communications in July 2023. Before that, she headed up communications at National Express and several public-sector organisations, mainly in criminal justice and transport. And before that, she was a Senior Broadcast Journalist at BBC News24.

Hattie Hasan is the founder of Stopcocks and the Women Installer Together Conference. In the New Year’s Honours list 2020 Hattie Hasan received an MBE for her ‘Services to women in the plumbing and heating industries’. Through the work of Stopcocks Group since 2006 hundreds of women have benefitted from mentoring and guidance received. Hattie’s expertise is sought after from the wider industry and she has sat on numerous panels, judging bodies and interview chairs. 

Matt brings over 20 years of experience in the paint industry, having worked with a range of leading manufacturers. He has a strong passion for colour and its ability to transform spaces, alongside a deep commitment to preserving historical properties using the correct materials and methods. Matt also champions the use of cleaner, more sustainable products that support health and wellbeing, combining practical expertise with a genuine enthusiasm for his craft.

Andrew Skelton is sales manager UK at Centiel. He has over a decade of experience in the UPS and generator industry, originally completing his apprenticeship in electrical and electronic engineering in 2008 while working at Benning UK. He joined Centiel in 2019 from AVK-SEG (UK), where he was a technical engineer responsible for design of turnkey UPS and generator projects.

<p data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">After spending his&nbsp;entire career in the heating industry, starting out as an apprentice gas engineer with British Gas, Adam&nbsp;remains an engineer at heart. His&nbsp;time at British Gas and Ariston gave him&nbsp;a deep respect for the trade and the systems that keep us warm.</p> <p>Today, Adam is&nbsp;focused on helping both installers and homeowners navigate the move away from the fossil fuel solutions that have served us for so long. By exploring flexible, low-carbon alternatives.</p>

<p>Rachael Wragg is a cathedral stone mason based at Lincoln cathedral as part of a dedicated team of crafts people caring for the medieval cathedral and its estate.&nbsp;</p> <p>Dedicated to the preservation of heritage crafts she is an advocate for training, apprenticeships and encouraging people to consider a heritage trade as an alternative career choice.</p>

Kevin served an indentured apprenticeship and attained an Advanced Craft certificate in plumbing and heating. He joined the Institute of Plumbing in 1985 in the same year that he completed his Higher National Certificate in Building Studies. In 1993 he successfully completed a Diploma in Management and in 2016 was awarded Fellowship of the City & Guilds London Institute. In 2011 he became Chief Executive Officer of the CIPHE and was also elected to the Executive Board of the World Plumbing Council. At the World Plumbing Conference in Shanghai he was elected as Deputy Chairman of WPC and successfully negotiated that the next World Plumbing Conference will be held in the UK in June 2026 alongside the InstallerSHOW. Government has recently announced that CIPHE can develop a new Domestic Plumber Level 2 and 3 Apprenticeship. Kevin is Deputy Chairman of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers Education Committee and a founder Director of WaterSafe.

The OPSS Timber Enforcement team is responsible for regulating the United Kingdom Timber Regulations, ensuring businesses meet their compliance obligations on imports of Timber. Ella and Matt, key members of the team, will be presenting on all aspects of timber compliance and sharing how OPSS can best support businesses in navigating the regulatory landscape. Matt, the team leader, brings a strong background in enforcement.&nbsp;Ella is an enforcement officer with a background in regulatory compliance.

Graeme brings over 24 years' experience working in the Domestic Heating sector, in various guises. Engineer, Lecturer, Compliance, Inspection, Installation management, Business Development, Consultant, with the last 15 years working in the Low Carbon and Energy Efficiency Sectors. One of Graeme's previous role was managing the UK's largest Certification/Auditing scheme for renewable energy and energy efficiency installations, under the MCS/PAS/ TrustMark and Competent Person Schemes.

Matteo Dall&rsquo;Ombra is the National Specification Manager at Daikin Airconditioning UK, bringing over 13 years of experience in the HVAC industry. Prior to his current role, Matteo held positions in product management and engineering, where he was closely involved in developing and launching innovative climate control solutions. He now focuses on driving the specification of low-carbon technologies across commercial projects in the UK.

Managing Director at SNG since 2018, plays an instrumental role in nurturing talent across education. She is committed to equipping both learners and educators with high-quality resources and meaningful competitions that allow them to shine in their industry. Under her leadership, SNG continues to support the development of a confident, skilled workforce prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

Roger Macklin is a Director at the Building Services Consultancy, Hoare Lea. He specialises in decarbonising buildings and how to power this process. Prior to joining Hoare Lea, Roger was the Engineering Director at Geothermal International, at the time the largest Ground Source heat pump installer in the UK and involved in both the installation and operation of heat pump systems. He actually has a PhD in Aerodynamics which is odd given that buildings don&rsquo;t move much. However, his career took him into the design of wind tunnels and climatic test facilities, the heart of which is a refrigeration system and therein lies the link. Hoare Lea has been working with the UKGBC to accelerate action to strengthen the resilience of the UK&rsquo;s energy infrastructure and distribution systems. It aims to support and enable the wide-scale electrification of the UK built environment and reinforce a credible pathway to achieving a net zero built environment.

Tim has extensive experience in the built environment, including his key role in the development of Build Aviator (Saint-Gobain), making him the perfect fit to help us expand our network and reach more customers.<br /> <br /> His focus is on engaging with merchants, governing bodies and end users, to raise awareness of Adaptavate's innovative products.<br /> <br /> Tim is passionate about making a positive impact through his work, which is why he was excited to join our mission to drive the mainstream adoption of low-carbon and carbon-negative construction materials.

Former UK Minister for Energy & Clean Growth and former COP26 President-Designate, Claire currently co-chairs the Advisory Board of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the leading voice for business sustainability led by global CEOs.

<p>Gwilym has helped drive the adoption of Passivhaus within the UK construction industry, particularly on larger projects, raising its profile and helping to train future Passivhaus designers. Now our Director of Passivhaus, and a Passivhaus certifier and designer, he is the leader and primary contact for our Passivhaus team.&nbsp;</p> <p>He has MEP Engineering and Passivhaus experience across all scales of projects, from new-build to retrofit, in a broad range of sectors including offices, galleries, performance and education spaces. He represents the practice on a number of forums and expert panels, including the Passivhaus Trust Technical Panel, and is a Trustee for the Cambridge Forum for the Construction Industry.</p> <p>The basis of Gwilym&rsquo;s Engineering PhD thesis &ndash; low cost materials and rainwater harvesting in less economically developed countries &ndash; remains highly relevant to the International Outreach Group work he is involved in and passionate about.&nbsp;</p> <p>He has fitted a heat pump in his house and is working towards having an all-electric home.</p>
