Oliver Heath, Ba (Hons), Dip Arch (UCL) Oliver is founder & director of Oliver Heath Design (founded 2003), who are researchers, consultants, designers, and advocates for health and wellbeing in the built environment, benefiting both people and planet. Over the last 15 years his company have been become globally recognised thought leaders and practitioners in Biophilic Design through the dissemination of knowledge, alongside the development and delivery of human centred nature-based design projects. This has been across a range of spatial typologies including hospitality, workplace, residential, and education sectors. Design clients include Apple, Bloomberg, The BRE, Accor, The London School of Economics, Lloyds Insurance and the John Lewis Partnership’s venture into Built to Rent apartments. He has extensive experience in knowledge creation and presentation, having spent 15 years working for TV channels such as BBC, ITV and Channel 4, publishing 4 books, 8 white papers, online courses and presenting over 600 RIBA certified CPDs on Biophilic Design. Oliver is a passionate advocate of regenerative design and has acted as a spokesperson for the likes of the UK’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), the Energy Saving Trust (EST) and the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP).

Bio

Rachel is a Chartered Meteorologist, with over 18 years’ experience in the construction sector. Her expertise encompasses sustainability, metrics, environmental product declarations (EPDs) and international reporting of sector greenhouse gas emissions and sinks, together with climate risk, resilience and adaptation. She leads the UK Concrete sustainability data collection programme, including annual sector reporting to government for inclusion in official statistics, development of product and sector metrics, and Life Cycle Assessment for Environmental Product Declarations. She created the MPA sector EPDs for cement and ready-mixed concrete and is a keen advocate for their appropriate use, especially in early-stage design. Rachel also led a DESNZ funded consortium to model the carbon emissions sink due to carbonation of concrete to inform the UK’s international climate reporting to the IPCC. She is leading global industry collaboration on development of carbonation methodologies for IPCC greenhouse gas inventory reporting and has been selected as a lead author for the 2027 IPCC Methodology Report on Carbon Dioxide Removal and CCUS. She is active in numerous industry committees and task groups, including the UK Net Zero Carbon Building Standard, UKGBC and Eco Platform.
