David Frohberg is a Chief Engineer at Caterpillar, Inc. with current responsibility for natural gas and alternative fuels in the Large Engine Systems Division. Dave has a BS in Agricultural Engineering from Kansas State University and an Executive Certificate MBA from Purdue University. He has over 37 years of experience in engine development at Caterpillar utilizing various fuels in numerous large engine applications like electric power, mining, construction, oil and gas, marine, locomotive and other industrial applications. Dave is located in Lafayette, Indiana where Caterpillar produces the 3500, C175, and 3600 engine platforms.

Bruno Miller is a recognized expert in the renewable fuels industry with over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of technology, commercialization and policy. As part of the management team at several sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) companies, he was instrumental in negotiating first-of-its-kind SAF offtake and investments agreements with feedstock providers, global airlines, major oil companies and fuel logistics companies. Miller started his professional aviation career with Northwest Airlines and later Delta Airlines. He has consulted for global airlines, aircraft manufacturers, the National Academy of Science, the FAA, NASA and other government entities. He has served as a nominated expert to the Fuel Task Group for ICAO’s CORSIA and is part of the ASTM International Aviation Fuel Sub-committee. He has ample experience defining and executing business strategies, supporting relationships with strategic partners, and guiding regulatory and government affairs. Miller holds degrees in Technology & Policy and Air Transportation Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Colin Huwyler (pronounced High-Ler) is the CEO and founder of Optimus Technologies, a Pittsburgh-based clean-technology company decarbonizing the hardest-to-abate segment of transportation: heavy-duty diesel engines. Optimus has developed and commercialized the Vector System, a patented bolt-on fuel system upgrade that enables both new and existing diesel engines to operate on 100% biodiesel (B100), delivering near-zero carbon emissions without sacrificing performance or reliability. Under Colin’s leadership, Optimus has deployed more than a thousand systems across commercial and municipal fleets logging over 150 million real-world miles. Colin has positioned Optimus as a leader in the low-carbon transition making biodiesel a practical decarbonization pathway at scale. Colin holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, is an inventor with multiple patents in advanced fuel and powertrain technologies, and serves as a Director of the Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation.

Jon Scharingson has over 18 years of Senior Commercial Experience in the renewable fuels sector, having worked for Renewable Energy Group and Chevron Renewable Energy Group from 2007-2025. He has extensive experience in developing new markets for renewable fuels and led the development and implementation of a global marine fuel strategy for REG, He worked closely within Chevron in this capacity for the last 3 years and has an extensive network of contacts in the global marine fuel market. Jon has also worked extensively in the medium and heavy-duty trucking sector, helping companies identify and implement low carbon solutions to achieve their corporate sustainability targets. Jon holds an MBA from Iowa State University and a BBA in Management from Iowa State University. He is currently lecturing part-time in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University.

Meagan Perry Kaiser serves as the Chief Operations Officer and Soil Scientist of Perry Agricultural Laboratory, Inc. located in Bowling Green, Missouri. The lab conducts nutrient analysis on soils, plant tissues, feed, seed, water, manure and fertilizers. PAL serves clients in all 50 States and 75 foreign countries. Meagan and her husband, Marc, are 5th generation farmers at Kaiser Family Farms, growing soybeans and corn along the Missouri River. In 2011, the couple started PAL Farm Management LLC, a precision agriculture business. This firm utilizes GPS and drone technology to pull soil and plant tissue samples and makes variable rate fertilizer and planting prescriptions based on the test results. PAL Farm Management now serves clients in 14 states and 3 countries. Meagan received her degree in Soil Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she participated in undergraduate research in Crop Physiology under Dr. Dale Blevins, and in Agricultural Economics under Dr. Abner Womack at the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute. Meagan served as U.S. Senator Kit Bond's legislative assistant, advising on agriculture, waterways infrastructure, science and related appropriations. Following her time in Washington DC, Meagan became the Executive Director of the Upper Mississippi, Illinois, and Missouri Rivers Association to bring awareness to the importance of flood control in rural areas. Meagan is a Past Chair of the United Soybean Board, the national soy checkoff. She also serves as the University of Missouri's College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources' delegate to the Council on Agriculture, Research, Extension and Teaching and as the Vice President of the Pike County Farm Bureau Board.

Rebecca (Becky) Hensley is a Senior Manager Sustainability at CSX Transportation, Inc where she coordinates sustainability strategies, initiatives and corporate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting. Becky has worked for CSX Transportation for over 14 years and has over 25 years of experience with environmental, sustainability and regulatory compliance. Her career has specialized in data management solutions and cross-functional team collaboration. Before joining CSX, she worked as an environmental consultant for a variety of transportation, manufacturing, military, and government clients. She holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida and currently lives in Jacksonville, FL.

Ryan Standard is the regional managing editor for Fastmarkets Americas biofuels and agriculture markets. With a background in logistics and sales, Ryan joined The Jacobsen in 2007 as a price reporter for the animal fats and proteins market. In addition to the rendered products markets for North America and the international markets, Ryan has covered hides, veg oils, grains, biofuels and the sausage casings markets. Ryan joined Fastmarkets via the acquisition of The Jacobsen in 2021 and has helped to expand its coverage of animal fats and proteins. Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature and history with a parallel track in economics from Monmouth College.

Rohaise Low is the director of GlobalData’s (formerly LMC International) Biofuels and Oleochemicals Team. She has worked in the biofuels sector for 14 years, analyzing biofuels markets around the world, covering all aspects from feedstocks and policies to prices and by-products. She has specialized in analyzing raw material and by-product markets, appraising investment projects for new biofuels plants, assessing the impact of changes in biofuel policies, as well as evaluating the impact of technological developments within the biofuels sector. She leads research into biofuel feedstocks outlook, used by a range of associations, producers and market participants globally. Over recent years, the focus on lowering carbon emissions has seen biofuels producers shift their focus to wastes and residues as feedstocks. Rohaise has led research into the competition between these waste feedstocks and soybean oil and other vegetable oils, looking at their supply and how they fit into the biofuels market.

As Estes’ Vice President of Sustainability, Culture, and Communications, Sara Graf is responsible for brand, marketing, internal and external communications, public relations, reputation management, creative services, sustainability, and corporate philanthropy. Collaborating with the company’s primary business areas, she helps lead, inspire, develop, and implement strategies and programs that advance Estes’ sustainability goals, strengthen its culture, and elevate its brand and reputation. In the sustainability realm, Sara spearheaded Estes’ inaugural carbon footprint reporting and annual sustainability report. She also played a pivotal role in establishing standardized shipment-level emissions reporting in the U.S. LTL industry through a partnership with SMC³ and currently serves as advisory board chair for the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute Dock2Door coalition. Sara also oversees the company’s crisis communications, investor communications, recruitment marketing, employee and customer listening programs, and corporate chaplain program. She reports directly to President and Chief Operating Officer Webb Estes and works closely with him on a variety of strategic initiatives and special projects. Through Sara’s leadership and vision, Estes has transformed the ways it stays connected to its teammates in the digital age, including key employee engagement initiatives such as a mobile communication app and intranet, companywide digital signage displays, podcasts, and a revamped careers website. Her work has helped grow the company’s family-inspired culture, celebrate its employees, reinforce the importance of great work, lead Estes through pivotal change, and strengthen the employer brand and reputation. Before joining Estes in 2016, Sara held communications and marketing positions in the health care, real estate, and engineering/construction industries. Sara is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, where she majored in English with a concentration in Communications.

Mark Engdall has nearly 30 years of experience in the third party bulk storage business with International Matex Tank Terminals (IMTT). Over his career, Mark has been instrumental in advancing IMTT’s biofuel and chemical operations in the Northeast and Midwest. This has included the development of the Northeast region’s largest biodiesel storage system at IMTT’s Bayonne, New Jersey terminal complex. IMTT’s “Greener and Cleaner” strategy continues this commitment to the renewables market, including large scale biofuel feedstock and Renewable Diesel projects at its St. Rose and Geismar, Louisiana terminals. Commencing in 2023, IMTT revenues from non-petroleum cargos now exceed that of its petroleum business segment. This is Mark’s 19th year attending this conference. He has appreciated witnessing the evolution of the bio-mass diesel industry firsthand, as well as establishing friendships with many of the biofuels professionals whose commitment and efforts have shaped what it is today.

Michael Devine is the President of the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA). As a government-sanctioned “checkoff” program, NORA is funded by an assessment fee on every gallon of heating oil sold and that money is carefully reinvested in research and education programs. Michael oversees the operations of NORA, which include Consumer & Professional Education, Energy Efficiency & Safety, and Research & Development. Michael comes to NORA after having served as part of the Senior Management Team at World Energy, where he developed key national accounts utilizing 100% blends of renewable diesel and biodiesel for diesel engine use. Prior to his time at World Energy, Michael was the CEO of Earth Energy Alliance, which he founded in 2009 to assist the petroleum industry in reducing the carbon footprint of petroleum-based fuels by increasing the use of renewable liquid fuels. His company collaborated directly with US biodiesel production facilities, petroleum wholesale terminals and ultimately Bioheat® distributors, as his firm actively distributed biodiesel along the East Coast for many years. An early adopter and advocate of biodiesel integration, Michael has been a featured national speaker on the subjects of Liquid Fuels, Bioheat®, Biodiesel, Renewable Diesel and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) integration into the U.S. petroleum supply chain for over three decades.

Rob Underwood is the President of the Energy Marketers of America, representing energy marketers on Capitol Hill. He joined EMA in July 2007 as the Director of Government Relations and took over as President in 2015. Rob played a key role in reauthorizing the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) in 2018, which resulted in over $100 million for research and development and education and training to the heating fuels industry. He also steered the organization’s name change from the Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA) to the Energy Marketers of America in 2020. Rob serves as the chief spokesperson for EMA. He is frequently quoted in Politico, Washington Post, Reuters, Oil Express and CSP Daily News. He also serves as a liaison to EMA’s wholly owned subsidiary, the Petroleum Marketers Oil Company, LLC (PMOCO) known as the Spirit Brand®, and currently chairs the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC). Rob is a native of Georgia where he earned a BA degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining EMA, Rob worked for U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss (R-GA).

Helen Giles leads Environmental Sustainability at Southwest Airlines. She stepped into her role in 2021, working to ensure Southwest achieves its near-term and long-term climate goals, and on efforts to do right by the planet and company in the communities we serve and beyond. In 2019, Helen started her career at Southwest in Corporate Strategy. She previously worked as Director of Corporate Strategy at Neiman Marcus Group and held strategy and transformation roles at GameStop, The Hackett Group, and Accenture. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Economic Analysis and German Studies from Rice University. Helen and her husband, Michael, are proud parents to Olivia and Ethan. Helen is conversationally fluent in German and Mandarin. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys travel, gastronomy, and gaming.

Randall C. Stuewe has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Darling Ingredients since joining the company in February 2003. Darling Ingredients (NYSE: DAR) is the largest publicly traded company that takes the “other 50% of the animal” (the portion not typically eaten) and turns it into valuable ingredients. The company creates specialty food ingredients, and if it can’t be fed to a human or an animal, those materials are used to make green energy. From 1996 to 2002, Randall held a number of senior executive roles at ConAgra Foods, including President of Gilroy Foods. Prior to ConAgra Foods, he served in various management, sales and trading positions in Cargill’s food processing businesses over 12 years. Randall is a graduate of Kansas State University and currently serves as a director of Teays River Investments, a privately held agribusiness holding company.
