Julie Louise Gerberding, MD, MPH, is the President and CEO of the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH), a non-profit organization that builds large public-private-patient biomedical research partnerships in support of the NIH mission. She directed the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from 2002-2009 and led the agency through more than 40 public health emergencies, including SARS, avian influenza, and numerous natural disasters. Gerberding is a globally recognized infectious diseases expert whose multi-sector career trajectory spans senior leadership roles in academia as a tenured faculty member at the University of California, San Francisco, government service, President of Merck Vaccines, and Executive Vice President and Chief Patient Officer at Merck & Co., Inc. She currently co-chairs the Center for Strategic International Studies (CSIS) Bipartisan Alliance for Global Health Security. Her board service includes McKesson, Mayo Clinic, Case Western Reserve University, Research!America, National Health Council, and several biotech companies. Gerberding is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the adjunct faculties of the University of California, San Francisco, and Case Western Reserve University. She is the recipient of many honorary degrees, most recently at Baylor College of Medicine, and has received many accolades, including recognition by Time Magazine as one of the most influential people in America and by Fortune Magazine's Most Powerful Women list.

Jennifer Manganello, PhD, MPH, is a professor at the University at Albany School of Public Health. She is a health communication scholar who uses theories, concepts, and methods from the fields of public health and communication. Her research focuses on health literacy as well as the effects of media on attitudes, behaviors, and policies that put people at risk for negative health outcomes. Much of her work focuses on children, adolescents, young adults and parents, and she often seeks to include groups impacted by health disparities. More recently, she has emphasized how health literacy and health communication can help support youth with disabilities and their families. Manganello’s main area of expertise is health communication. Her work in this area has primarily focused on the effects of media and/or technology use on health attitudes, knowledge, and behavior, health information seeking among youth and parents, and identifying best practices for the dissemination of health information to the general public, including through news and social media. It has also involved a focus on health literacy. She also examines the use of digital technology for health information and health interventions, also known as eHealth.

Brinda Adhikari is an award-winning Executive Producer with 20+ years of experience in impact-driven storytelling.

Jacqueline Capriotti is a healthcare policy strategist and caregiver advocate working across public health, agriculture, and chronic illness. A mother of two young adults with cystic fibrosis, she previously led healthcare community relations and projects on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign. She is a proud MAHA Mom.

Derek I. Schmitz (they/he) is a queer, chronically ill, and disabled advocate, storyteller, and community-centered professional, focused on LGBTQ & disabled rights expansion.

Susan L. Polan is associate executive director for public affairs and advocacy with the American Public Health Association.

Shelley Hearne has spent over three decades driving change in public health, safety, and environmental sustainability.

Anne Morris Reid, MPH, Policy Director of the Funders Forum on Accountable Health project, is also Lecturer in the Health Policy and Management Department at the Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University (GWU).

Eric is a social impact pioneer. He designs large narrative change initiatives and public will building campaigns to drive changes in policy, practice and expectations that advance a more just, healthy, and sustainable world.

Dr. Alexa Romberg is a behavioral scientist working to build scientific programs and infrastructure that advance equity, facilitate translation, and promote health and wellbeing.

Justin joined AtkinsRéalis in 2002 and leads the company's growth strategy and business development program in the US as chief growth officer, while also serving as global aviation market lead. He is a registered professional engineer and has held various technical, operational and growth roles for consultants and owners. His experience also includes leadership roles delivering major capital projects, including multibillion-dollar programs for new international airport terminals and rail transit systems in the US.

Dr. Alexander’s career has been largely shaped by his experience designing and leading health behavior change programs at national and local scales.

Alison Barkoff is the Harold and Jane Hirsh Associate Professor of Health Law and Policy and Hirsh Program Director at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.

<p>Mike Reed has recently retired from Policing after 30 years in the City of London Police. In his service he has served in numerous roles and departments ranging from response teams, crime squads to firearms operations. He has a wide breadth of knowledge within Policing and the influences in and outside of it. He has been involved in some of the most traumatic and impactive incidents in London in recent times, leading in his expert field for both the London Bridge and Fish Mongers terror attacks. He has been a major advocate for officers pay, conditions and welfare, in his role as Chair of the City of London Police Federation, an elected role he held for 13 years. Mike now works for Gallagher Insurance, where he specialises in arranging group schemes that benefit both the Police and Fire service. He also remains actively involved in two police charities that he holds close to his heart being the Met &amp; City Orphans and The Rupert Fund both if which he previously chaired. Mike agreed to remain on our Advisory Board after his retirement, as he believes that the Blue Light Show offers the emergency services a fantastic opportunity to collaborate and find benefits for those involved.</p>
