Director and Podiatrist · NK Active
"Clinical reasoning; Where science meets art and art meets science"
I run NK Active, a dedicated MSK Rehab and Podiatry service, with a focus on getting results and putting research into practice. I have an interest in Plantar plate injuries, 3D gait analysis and MTSS. I published my research into MTSS in runners and want to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice. I have been fortunate enough to be on the Salomon think tank, part of the 2012 Podiatric medical team at the Olympics. I am also a visiting lecturer at the University of Southampton.
Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist / First Contact Physiotherapist
"The Impact of Physical Activity on Diabetes"
I currently work in primary care alongside GP’s as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist/First Contact Physiotherapist and injection therapist primarily managing undiagnosed and undifferentiated musculoskeletal pathologies. Having worked across different specialities within the physiotherapy profession over the last 10 years, I’ve been privileged enough to work alongside some imminent and reputable physiotherapists which have all contributed to my clinical skill set and underpinning knowledge acquisition. Having a strong background in managing private clinics in central London and working for the NHS, it’s really helped develop this profound interest I now possess around exercise and its impact on the management of people with diabetes.

"Empowering Steps: Unlocking the potential of lower limb injury rehabilitation"
Glen qualified from the University of Brighton in 2003 with a Bsc (Hons) in Podiatry. Over the 20 years since qualifying Glen has accrued a wealth of experience and knowledge across the field of Podiatry, specialising in Podiatric Biomechanics. Glen worked within the NHS for six years, dealing with all areas of podiatry and specialising in MSK, helping in the development of the Clinical Assessment team later use as a template for the current MSK triage teams. On leaving the NHS he embarked on a role with the Ministry of Defence at ‘The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Headley Court’. Glen has been privileged to work with all branches of the Armed Forces, including SAS, SBS and the elite athletes representing the services nationally and internationally in varied sports. A percentage of this work was the rehabilitation of service personnel injured in conflicts abroad, which was both challenging and hugely rewarding. To be able to apply the knowledge and skills of the job, which he enjoys immensely to such a clinically diverse and complex patient group, improving their quality of life and expediting recovery was an extremely humbling experience. Alongside his position at DMRC Headley Court, Glen lectured on the undergraduate BSC (Hons) Podiatry course at the University of Brighton, a position he still holds alongside lecturing on the MSC course. He is often lecturing across the country on Podiatric biomechanics and has been a keynote speaker at the National and European Podiatry Conference. Glen has a keen interest in running injuries and worked for two years with the British Athletics medical team. His role consisted of injury rehabilitation and screening to ensure athletes were able return to optimal performance as quickly as possible. His love of sport brought him to be involved with the London Marathon for several years in a supervisory role overseeing the podiatry medical team on the finish line. Glen is currently concentrating on building a multidisciplinary approach to his private practices, along the Headley Court model of care, with a keen interest in exercise rehabilitation.
