Tasha is a Certified Veterinary Technician from Glenside, PA. She is also a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner and works closely with the IVAPM to educate the public about animal pain awareness. Tasha became a veterinary technician specialist (VTS) in anesthesia in 2015. Tasha loves to lecture on various anesthesia and pain management topics around the globe and was previously named a VMX speaker of the Year for veterinary technicians. Tasha has authored numerous articles on anesthesia and analgesia topics for veterinary professionals and pet parents. In her spare time, Tasha enjoys reading, spending time with her husband and son, and recording the Veterinary Anesthesia Nerds Podcast.

Bret has been in the veterinary industry for over 15 years and has worked with in practice management since the beginning. Being through the industry in multiple different roles, Bret has broadened his acumen to help practice owners and key staff members make crucial decisions to help impact the patients, clients, colleagues, and practice. Given his extensive background in change and practice management, Bret has the knowledge to assist practice owners with increasing their profitability while preparing to sell their practice in their preferred timeframe.

Dr. Andrew Rosenberg earned his Bachelor of Science with distinction in research and veterinary degrees from Cornell University. He completed his dermatology residency with Animal Dermatology Clinic and achieved Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2013. He is the Director of Medical Operations for Animal Dermatology Group and sees clinical patients in their Wayne, NJ and White Plains, NY offices. He is currently the President of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. Rosenberg has multiple publications and lectures throughout the United States and internationally. He serves on numerous advisory boards for the development of new dermatology treatments. Dr. Rosenberg examines and treats zoo animals’ dermatologic issues pro bono. He has appeared on television on Animal Planet’s the Zoo, and on numerous Podcasts and radio shows.

Dr Cooney has been practicing advanced end-of-life care since 2006. In 2017, she founded the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA) and is now their Senior Director of Medical Education. Dr. Cooney is well-known for her work in companion animal euthanasia and has authored two books on the subject along with numerous articles and book chapters. She has collaborated in end-of-life training for the AVMA, AAHA, NAVC, IAAHPC, and the Fear Free Program, plus is a past-president and board member of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care. Dr. Cooney is a strong advocate for best practices in all aspects of end-of-life care and speaks nationally and internationally on such topics. She is Board Certified in animal welfare, and a DVM instructor at Colorado State University where she teaches end-of-life topics and animal welfare. She loves all things old and gray.

Dr. Timothy Wu was born in and raised in Plano, Texas, and after finishing high school, moved to New York City to attend New York University (NYU) where he studied biology as an undergraduate, and completed a Master’s degree focused on comparative neuroanatomy. Dr. Wu then attended veterinary school at Cornell University and graduated in 2017. After graduation, Dr. Wu continued his studies in a residency in anatomic pathology, which he completed in 2020. He received his board certification in anatomic pathology in the following year. In 2024, he completed his PhD with Dr. Dwight Bowman, focusing on the host-parasite immune response and immunomodulatory mechanisms employed by the nematode genus Toxocara. Dr. Wu completed a residency program in clinical parasitology alongside his PhD in 2024, under the guidance of Dr. Mani Lejeune in the New York State Animal Health Diagnostic Center (AHDC), with sponsorship through the National Center for Veterinary Parasitology (NCVP) and IDEXX Laboratories, and received his board certification in veterinary parasitology in the same year. As a lecturer in veterinary parasitology with continued involvement in diagnostic pathology and parasitology, Dr. Wu is excited to be able to combine his passions for pathology, parasitology, and teaching in the training of future veterinarians and scientists.

Dr. Catherine Twarowski, DVM, is a highly respected veterinarian and leader in the mobile veterinary medicine space, bringing more than 15 years of experience in animal healthcare to her patients and colleagues alike. A graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Twarowski began her career as a licensed veterinary technician before earning her veterinary degree in 2015. Her extensive background spans general practice, preventative medicine, internal medicine, veterinary leadership, and medical quality management across multiple hospitals. As the founder of Hand to Paw Veterinary Services, she has become a passionate advocate for delivering compassionate, high-quality veterinary care directly in the comfort of patients’ homes. Known for her personalized approach and commitment to strengthening the human-animal bond, Dr. Twarowski continues to help shape the future of accessible, stress-free veterinary medicine.

Dr. Susan P. Cohen is a pioneer in veterinary social work, known for her decades of leadership in pet loss support, human-animal interaction, and compassionate care training across the veterinary and social service fields. These days, she facilitates groups for stressed-out veterinarians and pet lovers grieving a loss. She also lectures and writes for academic publications.

Dr. Susan Bohrer is an integrative veterinarian in Southern California with over 15 years of experience using whole-food nutrition and home cooking in clinical practice. Certified in acupuncture and food therapy, she applies principles of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine to support balance through thoughtfully selected ingredients. After observing consistent benefits in her patients, she founded Chi Dog, a company offering gently cooked, balanced whole-food meals for dogs. Her approach emphasizes simple, real ingredients, microbiome support, and hydration while avoiding heavily processed foods. Dr. Bohrer continues to educate pet owners and veterinarians on practical, integrative nutrition strategies for long-term health and vitality.

Dr. Erin Achilles is originally from Massachusetts and obtained a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2009. Following undergrad, she pursued a master’s degree in Anthropology at Stony Brook University, performing research in the fields of primate behavioral ecology and early hominin origins. After graduate school, Dr. Achilles completed her degree in veterinary medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019, followed by a rotating internship at The Animal Medical Center in 2020. She pursued specialization in cardiology and completed a one year specialty research internship and a three year residency program at the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining her diplomate status in 2024. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, exploring NYC, and spending time with her two cats, Oyster and Cricket.

Dr. Impellizeri is a 1994 graduate of Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1995, he completed a small animal medical and surgical internship at Colorado State University, before returning to the east coast to work for 5 years in small animal emergency/primary care, followed by a residency in Medical Oncology. Dr. Impellizeri became a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, subspecialty of Oncology in 2005. In 2011, Dr. Impellizeri created the Barrymore Center for Advanced Cancer Therapeutics with a focus on Electroporation based cancer therapies specifically, Targeted Electrochemotherapy and Cancer Immunotherapy via Gene-electrotransfer. He wrote the first textbook on Electroporation based cancer treatments in Veterinary Medicine in 2021 and is considered an expert in the field. A prolific lecturer both nationally and internationally, he continues to educate veterinarians and pet parents about these cutting edge treatment options within oncology. Dr. Carissa Norquest, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), is a board-certified veterinary medical oncologist and Specialist Support Veterinarian with IDEXX Laboratories. She previously practiced in specialty referral settings as a clinical oncologist, where she worked closely with veterinary teams and pet owners managing complex cancer cases. Dr. Norquest has a particular interest in improving the early detection of cancer and helping general practitioners integrate diagnostic tools into everyday practice. Her clinical interests include nonsurgical management of osteosarcoma and guiding families through the process of identifying the treatment approach that best fits their pet’s medical needs and quality-of-life goals. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Dylan and two young boys, Aspen and Linden. Carissa is often found outdoors, at the horse barn, or trying to find a balance between fun and chaos on a family adventure.

Dr. Katherine Quesenberry founded the Exotic Pet Service at the AMC in the 1980s and has practiced exclusively with exotic pets since then. She earned her DVM from the University of Georgia, completed postgraduate training at the AMC, the University of Florida, and Yale School of Public Health. Dr. Quesenberry has co-edited leading textbooks, including four editions of Ferrets, Rabbits and Rodents: Clinical Medicine and Surgery and Avian Medicine and Surgery, served as the Scientific Editor of the Journal of Avian Medicine, and has authored more than 40 publications.
