Silvia Aguirre is a recognized expert in indirect tax with over 30 years of experience. Silvia was also the co-founder and Principal of Tax Technology Services, LLC (TTS), where she managed the operational efficiency of the organization and the tax knowledge base. He recently embarked on an opportunity of a lifetime by writing his own job description and becoming the first Corporate Credit Manager for BG Products, Inc. Prior to this, he was Credit Strategies Manager for Pioneer Balloon Company for over two decades. Having become a noteworthy leader in the Credit, Chris built his brand through his efforts with NACM and ascended to CFDD National Chairmen 2022-2023, launching CFDD Education Track at 126th Credit Congress and overseeing creation and promotion of CFDD’s new tag line & Star Awards. Chris’ leadership pathway includes serving as a board member for NACM National Promotional Products Credit Group for 25 years and holding a multitude of positions including National Chair 2003-2005. Locally, Chris has been instrumental in assisting three not for profit companies achieve 501c3 exempt status. In 2016, Chris served 3 years as president for NACM’s Wichita chapter of Credit and Financial Development Division (CFDD). During his tenure, the Wichita chapter grew 24% and earned national awards all three years. In 2019 Chris received the special “Star Award” and “Key to Success” for his accomplishment as Area Director for championing the launch of Oklahoma City CFDD chapter and for Wichita chapter’s excellence while serving as president. Chris’ passion to bring greater awareness to the Wichita’s local credit and finance community enabled him to be the conduit for three Law of Credit Management badges launched by Wichita State University’s Workforce, Professional & Community Education program. Like many credit professionals, Chris fell into the profession by chance. However, with mentoring he quickly embraced the fact that this could be a career instead of a job. Today, Chris has accepted this challenge and now advocates the value that credit professionals provide to their respective companies. Ms. Borges was recently inducted into Mercy University’s (formerly Mercy College) Alumni Hall of Fame celebrating its 60th year in existence. In November 2010, Ms. Borges received the “Robert E. Caine Award for Leadership” from the Commercial Law League of America. In April 2015, Ms. Borges received a “Woman of Distinction” award from St. Catharine Academy, her high school alma mater celebrating its 125th year in existence. Lisa Burns is a native Kansan and world traveler. Since 2015 she has worked in B2B credit at small, medium-sized, and currently a large-sized company. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from Wichita State University and a Global MBA degree in international business with a concentration in Change Management from Friends University. In between earning her two degrees, she earned NACM’s CBA, CBF, and CICP designations. She has served on her local CFDD chapter’s board since 2017 as Secretary, Programs Chair, and now President. She is also very involved with her local Sister Cities chapter.

Joe Cashel, CTP, has 25 years of experience providing financial advisory and restructuring services. Advises distressed entities, lender groups and unsecured creditors’ committees on financial and operational restructurings, committees of secured and unsecured creditors on recovery options and legal counsel in both bankruptcy and litigation matters. His background includes the preparation and analysis of business plans, cash flow projections and restructuring programs, as well as the evaluation of DIP financing, asset sales and competing bids.
