Tu has spent time living and working in Detroit, Silicon Valley, and China, and has deep family roots in the Detroit automotive industry. He also has a passion for EVs, and co-hosts the China EVs & More podcast where he applies his expert knowledge of the Chinese automotive industry.

Sam Abuelsamid is a principal research analyst at Guidehouse Insights, where he leads the E-Mobility solution, working with clients to help them understand emerging technology trends and shape strategies. A mechanical engineer, Sam has more than two decades of experience as a product development engineer in the automotive industry, working on advanced electronic control systems and embedded software and architecture, and his CV prior to joining Guidehouse Insights includes time in automotive journalism, and product and technology communications at Ford and General Motors.

Dr Kelly Senecal, a co-founder of computational fluid dynamics software company Convergent Science, believes the future powertrain mix will be diverse rather than exclusively electric, with automotive engineers continuing to find efficiencies in internal combustion engine (ICE) technology using alternative fuels. Kelly has long been an advocate of creating cleaner propulsion systems, with a particular focus on using CFD and HPC to enable faster design.

Carla Bailo has been President of SAE International since February 2023. A past President and CEO of the Center for Automotive Research (CAR), Carla is the President and CEO of ECOS Consulting LLC and a leader in engineering and vehicle program management with 42 years’ experience in the automotive industry. That experience includes five years as assistant vice president for mobility research and business development at The Ohio State University, 25 years at Nissan North America, Inc., where she served as senior vice president of research and development, and a decade at General Motors. Carla is currently an Independent Director on the corporate boards for SM Energy (SM) and Advance Auto Parts (AAP).

Nico Cuevas is the CEO of Urbix, a US developer of graphite processing technology which focuses on natural battery-grade graphite using environmentally friendly refinement processes.

With over 20 years' experience in the engineering industry, ranging from aerospace and defence to automotive, Ben Townsend is a fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer. Ben heads up the automotive products and services activities at Thatcham Research, where, as he'll outline at the FISITA World Mobility Summit in November 2024, much of his work involves highlighting the need to make insurance a core design attribute.

Dr Richard Ahlfeld is CEO and Founder of Monolith, a no-code AI platform used by the world’s leading automotive, aerospace and industrial engineering. With a PhD in Aerospace Engineering and Data Science from Imperial College, Richard has been recognised across academia and industry, including being named to MIT Technology Review’s Top 10 Innovators under 35, invited as a Research Engineer to NASA where he worked on the Mars rocket, and recognized as an Automotive News Europe ‘Rising Star’.

Peter Lukassen is responsible for operational sustainability in the Mobility Aftermarket division of Robert Bosch GmbH, driving the global sustainability strategy along the entire value chain. After holding positions in manufacturing coordination and logistics, Peter took over the responsibility for circular economy business development before heading the sustainability topics in 2022.

Pierre has two decades of experience in the automotive industry, with a career that includes work in North America, Asia, and Europe. In his role, Pierre oversees the ACEA Technical Affairs team and plans long-term automotive industry technological policy.
