Bio

Ms Prabhleen Anand has been an NHS Consultant and Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry at RNENT and The Eastman Dental Hospital, University College Hospitals NHS Trust, London for the last 19 years. She also works in primary care and has been the clinical lead at Happy Kids Dental (a specialist dental practice for children) for over 14 years. Her areas of special interest are oral rehabilitation in children, behaviour management via sedation, oral surgery, hypodontia, autotransplants, trauma and general anaesthesia. She has previously been Deputy Chair of Paediatric Dentistry MCN for London. She is an active and keen member of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) and a past Chair of BSPD SE branch. She is also a faculty member on SAAD where she teaches paediatric sedation. She is dually specialised in Oral surgery and Paediatric dentistry.

Julie Kilgariff is a Consultant in Endodontics at Dundee Dental Hospital and Research School and a Core Training Advisor with NHS Education for Scotland. She holds an Honorary Senior Clinical Teacher role with the University of Dundee. Julie completed specialist training in 2009, becoming registered on the specialist endodontic list with the General Dental Council. Julie manages all aspects of endodontic problems and traumatic dental injuries. She is heavily involved in the teaching and training of postgraduate dentists in endodontics in Scotland and has published a number of papers in relation to endodontics, traumatic dental injuries and using quality improvement in dentistry.

In July 2015, he moved to Barts and The London School of Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London where he is currently Professor and Consultant in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. He is also consultant Periodontist and Implant Surgeon at four private practices.

Alex is a consultant maxillofacial surgeon with NHS practice in head and neck (oral, salivary and skin cancer) surgery and complex facial reconstruction and salivary gland surgery. In private practice he additionally focusses on aesthetic facial plastic plus day-case implants for total dental rehabilitation under general anaesthetic. Whilst based principally in the NHS at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth, he works privately at Spire Portsmouth Hospital, Ad-Nova and Medicana clinics. He is the research lead for the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is the co-lead of the facial reanimation service and core member of both the skin cancer and head and neck multidisciplinary teams at Portsmouth. Mr Goodson is a clinical supervisor for maxillofacial surgeons in training in Wessex. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, as well as several textbooks in maxillofacial surgery. Mr Goodson is also an associate medical editor for Libri Publishing UK and a peer-reviewer for the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Sinuba Naidu is a Senior Dental Officer in the Community Dental Service at Birmingham Community Healthcare Trust, with a specialised focus on managing dental anxiety, patients with additional needs (including patients with learning disability) and medically compromised patients. After qualifying in 1996, Sinuba gained broad experience in general practice, community dental services, and oral surgery. After postgraduate fellowship, for the past 23 years, she has provided dental care for a broad range of special care patients. She is specialised in providing comprehensive dental anxiety management including behavioural management techniques, as well as the use of inhalation and intravenous sedation. She leads the anxious patient component of her service and serves as the regional lead for the clinical supervision of specialised nurses providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Sinuba also regularly assess patients referred for domiciliary care, carrying out treatment at home or in the clinical environment after appropriate risk assessment. In addition to her clinical work, Sinuba is an accredited British Dental Association (BDA) representative for her trust and chairs the BDA West Midlands Community Dental Services group.
