AMWA Annual Meeting 2026

Dr. Nancy Hardt, AMWA 2017 speaker, speaks at a high level UN Forum on the culture of peace. She is a physician who partnered with law enforcement to address community violence and health inequities in Alachua County, Florida.

Dr. Harselle is a child and adult psychiatrist, lecturer, and clinical educator at the Albert Medical School of Brown University, CEO of Harselle and associates and a movie consultant. She gives talks on mental health, imposter syndrome, and wellness to medical students. She also consults for Hollywood productions on accurate portrayal of mental illness.

Joanna Georgakas is a medical student and host of the podcast 'Our Voices, Our Future' by the Gender Equity Task Force of the American Medical Women’s Association.

Aliza Abid is a medical student with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her academic interests focus on gastroenterology and oncology, with particular emphasis on the gut–brain axis and microbiome mediated pathways. She is committed to advancing mentorship and representation for women in medicine through her involvement with the American Medical Women’s Association.

Meghan Etsey is a fourth year medical student from St. George’s University. She served as the President of the St. George’s University’s Women in Medicine chapter and is a member of the Gender Equity Task Force and Sex and Gender Health Collaborative Committees within the American Medical Women’s Association.
