Dr. Abara is currently the Director at the Richmond Hill Urology Practice and Prostate Institute. He is also an Associate Professor at Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM), with a special interest in rural and global health and use of technology in health services. After graduating from the University of Ibadan, he completed general surgery training at the Universities of Benin and Port Harcourt, and a urology residency at the University of Toronto. This was followed by a fellowship in general urology, urodynamics, pediatric urology, and extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy. Dr. Abara has served in many professional leadership capacities, including as Secretary and Chair for Ontario Medical Association (OMA) District 5, as a member of the OMA Nominating Committee and Audit Committee, and as delegate and alternate to OMA and CMA Council. He currently serves on the CEPD/Faculty Development, and Education Advisory Board, Senate of NOSM. He has also received several awards and honors: the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and Certificate of Honor (2012); a Life Achievement Award from CANPAD (2013); OMA Life Membership (2014); NOSM/NOAMA Leadership Award (2016); and a Rural Heart Award (2023), among others.

Dr. Aubé-Peterkin is an Assistant Professor of Urology at the McGill University Health Centre, where she specializes in genitourinary reconstruction and lower urinary tract dysfunction, with a particular focus on urethral reconstruction and benign prostatic hyperplasia management, including prostatic enucleation. She also serves as the Program Director for the McGill Urology Residency Program. Dr. Aubé-Peterkin earned her medical degree from Université Laval and completed her urology residency at McGill University. She pursued fellowship training in genitourinary reconstructive surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School. In addition, she holds a master’s degree in medical education from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

Dr. Black is the Director of the Vancouver Prostate Centre and a Professor in the Department of Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia. He has a translational research interest in bladder cancer, with a focus on treatment resistance and the development of novel targeted therapies to overcome resistance. Dr. Black is Surgical Oncology Co-Chair of the NCI Bladder Cancer Task Force, Chair of the Canadian Bladder Cancer Research Network, and President of the International Bladder Cancer Network.

Dr. Breau is a surgical oncologist, senior scientist in epidemiology, and Professor of Urology at The University of Ottawa/Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Dr. Breau serves or has served on numerous American Urological Association and Cancer Care Ontario leadership committees and is currently the Chair of the CUA Guidelines Steering Committee. He is the primary investigator of several multicenter surgical trials in urologic oncology and is the co-lead of a national cohort study of over 20 000 patients with kidney cancer (CKCis). Dr. Breau attended medical school at Dalhousie University and did his urology residency at the University of Ottawa. He completed his urologic oncology and robotic surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic and received a Master of Science in clinical and translational research from Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education.

Dr. Campbell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University. His urology practice focuses on benign urology, BPH/LUTS, men’s health, and sexual dysfunction. Dr. Campbell completed his medical school training at Dalhousie University, followed by residency training in urology at Western University. He went on to complete a fellowship in men’s health and reconstructive urology at Johns Hopkins University and then a second fellowship in prosthetic surgery at Western University. He also completed a master’s in public health through the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a certificate in clinical trials and research focus on opioid reduction strategies in surgery. His clinical research focuses on minimally invasive treatments of BPH, and new treatment options for erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease.

Dr. Cox is past Urology Residency Program Director and the current Director of the Female and Functional Urology Fellowship Program at Dalhousie University. She is the Secretary of the Canadian Urological Association (CUA) and Secretary of the Functional and Reconstructive Urology Society of Canada (FRUSC). Originally from Toronto, Dr. Cox completed her undergraduate degree at McMaster University and attended medical school at the University of Western Ontario before completing urology residency training at Dalhousie University. Dr. Cox then returned to Ontario for two years to complete her fellowship training in reconstructive and female urology. In addition to joining Dalhousie Urology in 2013, she also obtained a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology and healthcare research at the University of Toronto.

Dr. De is an Associate Professor, Fellowship Director for the Advanced Endourology & Stone Disease fellowship at the University of Alberta, and the Urology Site Lead at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. He is currently undertaking an advanced degree in biomedical engineering and has launched two medical device spinout companies over the last two years.

Dr. Domes is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Saskatchewan, and has focused his career on medical education, leadership, and male reproductive and sexual health. He is the inaugural Academic Director of the Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program at the University of Saskatchewan. He completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees at the University of Saskatchewan, Master of Business Administration at the University of Regina, medical degree at the University of Alberta, urology residency at Western University, and his male reproductive medicine and surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts in urology and medical education. His passion is improving systems through transformative change in both medical education and healthcare.

Dr. Flannigan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia, as well as a surgeon-scientist and Director of the Reproductive & Sexual Medicine Centre in the M.H. Mohseni Institute of Urologic Sciences. He directs a translational research program investigating novel therapeutic strategies across male infertility, erectile dysfunction, and Peyronie’s disease.

Dr. Kiddoo is an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta. She practices in all areas of pediatric urology. She is the Divisional Director of Pediatric Surgery, Competency Chair for the University of Alberta Urology Residency, and AFC Pediatric Urology Chair for the Royal College. She completed medical training and residency at the University of Alberta, followed by a pediatric urology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Upon completion of her fellowship, she returned to the University of Alberta to practice as a pediatric urologist. She also completed an MPH.

Dr. Kinnaird is a surgeon-scientist and the Frank and Carla Sojonky Chair in Prostate Cancer Research in the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta. He completed a fellowship in imaging, targeted biopsy, and focal therapy for prostate cancer at UCLA. He is the principal investigator on multiple investigator-initiated prostate cancer trials examining the use of state-of-the-art imaging techniques for prostate cancer diagnostics, including PSMA-PET, multiparametric MRI, and high-resolution micro-ultrasound.

Dr. Luke is a Professor of Surgery at Western University. He completed his medical training at the University of Toronto, residency at the University of Western Ontario, fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, and has been an attending surgeon at London Health Sciences Centre since 2000. He was selected as one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40” by Caldwell Partners and the Globe and Mail in 2005, and is the 2010 recipient of the American Urological Association Gold Cystoscope Award, presented to a urologist distinguished by outstanding contributions to the profession within 13 years of completing residency training. His clinical research interests include kidney/pancreas transplantation and advanced surgical techniques (robotics, telesurgery, laparoscopy). His basic science research involves ischemia reperfusion injury, organ preservation, and optimization of organ function post-transplant. Specifically, he has an interest in drug repurposing and subnormothermic machine perfusion of organs to optimize organ protection.

Dr. Mau is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Urology at the University of Saskatchewan and a pediatric urologist at the Saskatchewan Health Authority. She completed her medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan, followed by a urology residency at the University of Manitoba and a fellowship in pediatric urology at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Dr. Nayak is a urologic oncologist and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Manitoba, where he serves as Program Director for the Urology Residency Program. His clinical practice focuses on male urologic cancers and men’s health, with academic interests in education, quality improvement, and care delivery innovation. He is the co-founder of Men’s Health Clinic Manitoba, a physician-led clinic and ambulatory surgical center developed to complement public urologic services by improving access, care coordination, and outpatient surgical capacity. Since its establishment in 2022, the clinic has delivered over 100,000 patient visits using a rapid-access, patient-centered, team-based model of care. His work explores the role of ambulatory surgical centers, multidisciplinary care, and alternative delivery models in expanding access to urologic care while maintaining quality and alignment with Canada’s publicly funded health system.

Dr. Ory is a urologist working in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He specializes in men’s health and microsurgery, as well as HoLEP.

Dr. Papanikolaou is a staff urologist at Trillium Health Partners and associate staff in the Division of Urology at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He serves as Chair of the Section of Urology of the Ontario Medical Association and is Fellowship Director for Urologic Surgery at Credit Valley Hospital. An Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, Dr. Papanikolaou has held numerous leadership roles, including Division Lead of Pediatric Surgery at Trillium Health Partners and former Chair of the Canadian Urological Association’s Community Urology Committee. He completed his medical degree at the University of Ottawa, urology residency at the University of Toronto, and fellowship in pediatric urology at The Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Papanikolaou’s research spans pediatric and community urology, patient flow optimization, and applications of artificial intelligence in urologic care, with publications in leading journals such as The Lancet Digital Health and Journal of Urology . He is a past recipient of the Trillium Health Partners Surgical Educator Award and the University of Toronto Medical Alumni Award for excellence in teaching and mentorship.
