Jas is a successful leader within the NHS and a clinician (pharmacist) by background and has extensive NHS experience working at a national, regional and local level in leadership roles. More recently, Jas has been based in a financial/procurement sector of the NHS and this has provided her with the commercial and financial experience necessary to deliver key outcomes for large scale projects at system and regional levels. This is often delivered by working in close collaboration with integrated care systems to ensure that we get the best value from the public’s money that is spent on medicines, whilst also addressing health inequalities. Jas is currently the Clinical Director and Chief Pharmacist for Healthcare and Pharmacy Services at the NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP). Before this, Jas was working for NHS England as their National Pharmacy Adviser for RightCare.

Nigel initially qualified as a pharmacist working in both community and secondary care positions before returning to University to study medicine. He qualified as a doctor in 1995 and become a consultant in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics in 2003. Additional roles he has taken up includes working on a number of different NICE guidelines as well as being the Clinical Pharmacologist to one of the NICE Health Technology and Appraisal Committees. Nigel is an Honorary Senior Lecturer to University of Leicester and has taught both undergraduate and post graduate prescribing. As such he had a keen interest in prescribing decisions, having written on the subject and is a keen advocate to reduce inappropriate polypharmacy.

Yasir is an Advanced Specialist Pharmacist at the University Hospitals of Leicester and a Honorary Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice for De Montfort University. He is also the director of MicroPharm, MicroPharm is an online platform designed to provide high-quality medical education for trainee pharmacists and healthcare professionals. MicroPharm has delivered teaching sessions to over 5,000 trainee pharmacists. These sessions were covered in line with the GPhC assessment framework and proved to be very beneficial for the attendees. Yasir trained as a pre-registration pharmacist in a community pharmacy and transitioned to a hospital pharmacy role as a cardiorespiratory admissions’ junior pharmacist. He was subsequently promoted to an on-call junior pharmacist role and rotated through several specialities including respiratory medicine, specialist surgery, geriatric medicine, general medicine and oncology. In his current role, Yasir manages patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD) in the outpatient ILD clinics and is an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Yasir is also a part of the Integrated Respiratory Care Team, providing a model of care to respiratory patients across hospital and community settings.

Jennifer has worked at University Hospital since 2000 and in Critical Care since 2003. During this time she worked in the Emergency Department, taking part in early research with pharmacists writing prescriptions for patients to be admitted and worked on national guidance for antidote holdings for Emergency Departments. Since 2006 she has focused on Critical Care, completed an MSc with research into pharmaceutical handovers and has been an independent prescriber for more than 10 years. She is a member of the UKCPA Critical Care group committee and contributes to their foundation training course for Critical Care Pharmacists. Jennifer has also worked in pharmacy education, between 2019 and 2023 she was, in addition to her clnical role, one of the Training Programme Directors for pre-registration pharmacists (now foundation trainee pharmacists) for HEE South. She has supported many pharmacists through post-graduate courses and is an experienced tutor for PgD pharmacists and practice supervisor for dietitians' completing supplementary prescribing courses. She has significant experience in nutritional support for critically ill patients and has contributed to international work on peri-operative nutrition. Since 2023 she has also been the development lead for rotational clinical pharmacists at UHS and in this role has published abstracts at conferences and supported members of her team to do the same. She was awarded an NIHR ARC research internship in 2025 to work on further qualitative research into early careers pharmacist development roles. Jennifer is passionate about improving patient experience and the development of pharmacists as well-rounded practitioners and is proud to have successfully completed RPS Consultant level credentialling in 2025.
