Dr. Girija O. K. holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and brings over ten years of experience in academia, research, and industry. She specializes in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Vision, and Image Processing. Her research focuses on medical image analysis, including breast cancer detection using mammograms, diabetic retinopathy and ocular complication detection, and computer-aided diagnostic systems. She has published in reputed international journals and led AI-driven healthcare projects. Driven by a mission to translate research into clinical tools, she has held academic positions at CUSAT and NIT Calicut and currently serves as an AI Research Scientist, working at the intersection of innovation, data, and vision science.

Dr. Niftiyeva is an ophthalmologist in Ankara Akyurt Hospital. She received her medical degree from Azerbaijan Medical University.She received her opthalmology specialist degree from Hacettepe University Hospital,Turkey.

Hamza Idrees is a first-year resident doctor working at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn, England. He graduated from Barts and the London School of Medicine this summer. He has always had a strong affinity for surgery during his medical school years and greatly enjoyed his surgical electives across the world, from Ireland and the UK to Pakistan and Vietnam. In recent times, he has developed a keen interest in surgical ophthalmology and is particularly fascinated by the subspecialties of vitreoretinal and oculoplastic surgery. He is very excited to continue learning as much as he can.

Henry Osagie is a Foundation Year 1 doctor in the United Kingdom and a qualified optometrist, with a strong interest in ophthalmology. He has been involved with clinical research and medical education, including teaching undergraduate medical students and contributing to ophthalmology focused projects. Maidina Nabijiang, Master’s Degree and serves as an Associate Chief Physician, and a Member of the Ocular Trauma Group, the Seventh Ophthalmology Special Committee, Xinjiang Medical Association. She has publications as first author including 1 SCI paper and 6 papers in domestic core journals. She has led and participated in six hospital-level and autonomous region-level research projects, and one youth science project. She specializes in the diagnosis of various retinal, macular, and vitreous diseases; she has profound expertise in vitrectomy, retinal laser therapy, and glaucoma laser treatment.

Dr. Leema Alhussayen is a board-certified ophthalmologist who completed her residency at Prince Sultan Military Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Taibah University in 2018 and obtained her Saudi Board in Ophthalmology in 2024. Dr. Alhussayen has contributed to multiple research publications, with presentations at international conferences.

Dr. Lesia Parkhomchuk graduated in 2007 in Ivano-Frankivsk University, Ukraine. Then she joined the Internship in the Eye Microsurgery Center, at the Academy of postgradual study in Kyiv. Then in 2013 she entered clinical ordinature at the same institution at the vitreoretinal department. In 2016 she obtained the position of Retinal laser specialist in private ophthalmological clinics. Now she works in the Center of clinical Ophthalmology with Professor and vitreoretinal surgeon Andrii Ruban.

Dr. Taiel completed her doctorate in Medicine with board certified in Ophthalmology from Lariboisiere Saint Louis University, Paris, France, in 1993, and her Associate Professor degree in 1998. Dr Taiel completed her internship at academic Paris hospitals, was an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, served as an Ophthalmology Department Head, and ran Surgical and Medical Ophthalmology private practice. After 13 years of Ophthalmology public and private practice, Dr Taiel has been engaged in the Pharma Industry for 20 years; she brings extensive experience and expertise in drug clinical development, gene therapy, and medical affairs. She started her carrier at Servier company headquarter, and then worked in Ophthalmology area at Pfizer for several years; she then held international and management positions in various therapeutic areas, including both technical and supervision duties, at Eli Lilly Company for many years. Then, as VP Clinical Development, she led Clinical Development and Operations, to develop antisense oligonucleotides in Inherited Retinal diseases at ProQR Therapeutics. She then moved to GenSight-Biologics in 2018, to supervise the Medical Department and lead Gene Therapy programs in Inherited Retinal and Neuro-Ophthalmology diseases, as the CMO of the company. Dr. Taiel has authored numerous protocols and articles published in peer reviewed journals, and made critical contributions to successful clinical development and launch of many products. She brings extensive years of experience from both academic medicine and pharma industry.
