Dr. Orkun Kaymaz graduated with merit from Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia, earning distinctions in several disciplines, including ophthalmology, neurology, and general surgery. He has extensive clinical experience across diverse specialties, including general practice, geriatrics, renal medicine, and trauma and orthopaedics. Dr Orkun Kaymaz has a strong academic focus, with multiple publications and presentations at international and national conferences. Recognized for his contributions to medical education and research, he received the Best Oral Presentation Prize at a regional medical conference. Having completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education, he continues to integrate clinical expertise with innovative approaches to healthcare education and research.

Syibli Othman is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Jenner Institute, University of Oxford, United Kingdom, and serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia. He has extensive experience in academia and research, with active contributions to teaching, research, and student mentorship. His research focuses on immuno-vaccinology, particularly the development and evaluation of vaccines and immune responses against infectious diseases using animal models, with a specific interest in zoonotic malaria.

Sarvin Youssefizad is a pre-medical student at the University of Southern California pursuing a degree in Global Health. She is committed to pursuing a career in medicine with an emphasis on Neurology. Sarvin's academic and research goals are focused on patient centered care, infectious disease, and neurological health. She is passionate about making a change in medicine and advancing equitable care for diverse patient groups through both clinical work and research.

Dr. Smriti Chaudhary, a medical graduate from Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College, India, is currently registered with the GMC. She is undertaking a clinical observership at St. Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London, after completing her Foundation Year 1 training with diverse rotations across medicine and surgery. She has experience in audits, teaching, and research training, with a particular interest in general medicine. Outside medicine, she enjoys playing guitar, singing, and sketching.

My name: Cintia Cevallos from Argentina... I will proceed to describe briefly my academic and professional training. 2010: I started an internship as an undergraduate student to obtain a bachelor's degree at the School of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmacy, University of San Luis, Argentina. Research topic: Effects of exposure to cadmium in drinking water on parameters related to oxidative stress in the small intestine of rats. Supervisor: Dr. Larregle Ethel Viviana. 2012: I got a BSc. in Molecular Biology from the School of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmacy, University of San Luis, Argentina. 2013: I started my doctoral studies when the National Research Council from Argentina (CONICET) awarded me with a fellowship. Research project: Study of the evolution of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in Men who have sex with men in Argentina (2000-2013) at the Institute for Biomedical Research on Retroviruses and AIDS (INBIRS, School of Medicine, University of Buenos Aires). Supervisor: Dr. Maria Mercedes Avila and co-supervisor: Dr. Jorge Quarleri. 2019: I got a PhD. in Medical Science from the School of Medical Sciences, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In this year I also worked as a Forensic expert for the Scientific Police Department of Buenos Aires city in the forensic genetics area. 2020: I started my post-doctoral studies when the National Research Council from Argentina (CONICET) awarded me with a fellowship. Research project: Cellular cross-talk and modulation of the hepatic profibrotic profile in the context of HIV-HCV coinfection. Supervisor: Dr. Jorge Quarleri. Furthermore, since the COVID-19 outbreak, I also started to participate in the diagnosis area of INBIRS Institute processing a large number of samples (nasopharyngeal swabs) for SARS-CoV-2 detection, working under ISO9001 requirements. 2021: In the context of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic as a postdoctoral student I joined to work on a research project focused on evaluating the direct mechanisms of pathogenesis cells associated with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

Zoya Malik grew up in a small town in Pakistan, and from early on she always dreamed of training internationally. She have completed her MBBS in Hyderabad, Pakistan, and over time developed a real interest in Infectious Disease. Along the way, she have published a case report, completed two QIPs, and carried out two cycles of an audit. Submitting this abstract is crucial to her because it's not just another requirement , it's a chance to show her genuine commitment to this specialty and the path she hope to follow.

Dr. Anil Budania studied Dermatology and Sexually transmitted infections at PGIMER Chandigarh and received his post-graduation degree in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology. Then he joined VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital which is a premier institute for STI and HIV medicine in India. He joined AIIMS Jodhpur in 2017 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to the post of Additional Professor in July 2023. This study is the product of an intramural institute-funded project on sexually transmitted infections. Apart from STI, his area of interest is superficial cutaneous fungal infection. He has published more than 40 research articles in pubmed indexed journals.

Dr. Eun Jung Choi received her M.D. from Yeungnam University and Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from Kyungpook National University, where she studied immune metabolism in sepsis. She completed postdoctoral training and served as a research professor at Kyungpook National University School of Medicine. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Immunology at Daegu Catholic University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on immunometabolic regulation and mitochondrial function in inflammatory diseases. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and holds patents related to metabolic intervention in sepsis.

Dr. HIEN Y. Esther studied Immunology at the AIX Marseille University, France and graduated as MS in 2011. She then joined the research group of Dr. Bénédicte DARGENT at the CRN2M, CNRS AIX Marseille University. She received her PhD degree in 2014 at the same institution. After two years postdoctoral fellowship supervised by Dr Mireille MONTCOUQUIOL at the Neurocentre Magendie Bordeaux, France; she obtained the position of an Associate Professor at the Université Joseph KI-ZERBO.

Dr. Hab. inz. Krzysztof Skowron, prof. UMK, obtained his Ph.D. in agricultural sciences in 2011 from UTP University of Science and Technology in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Since 2011, he has been affiliated with the Department of Microbiology at L. Rydygier Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland. In 2019, he earned the habilitated doctor degree in medical sciences, specializing in medical biology. Currently, he holds the position of Associate Professor. Dr. Hab. Inz. Krzysztof Skowron, prof. UMK, focuses his research on various aspects of antimicrobial activities, microbial tolerance to stress factors, antibiotic resistance, and the detection and expression assessment of genes primarily associated with virulence and responses to environmental stress. His interests extend to emerging pathogens, zoonotic pathogens, and the transmission of microorganisms between animals and humans. Dr. Hab. inz. Krzysztof Skowron, prof. UMK, has authored 108 full-text publications and contributed to 6 chapters in monographs.

Kalilu is a biomedical scientist and instructor at the University of Liberia, passionate about the diagnosis and immunology of infectious diseases. He was a member of the 2017/2018 cohort of the prestigious University of Michigan African Presidential Scholar Program and a 2019 Chevening scholar at the University of Plymouth, England. Kalilu is a PhD fellow at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens, University of Ghana. He has also completed a continuing professional development certification in Good Clinical Practice modules. His PhD research focuses on the molecular and immunological characterization of the measles virus in the ongoing measles virus outbreak in Liberia. Additionally, he is currently employed as a research scientist at the National Public Health Institute in Liberia.

Pallab Kumar Sinha is a Senior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He holds a postgraduate degree in Statistics and is currently pursuing his PhD at this institution. Under the supervision of Professor Siuli Mukhopadhyay, his research focuses on infectious disease modeling.

Dr Salman Ali Syed is a Trust Grade Registrar in Acute Medicine at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, United Kingdom. He holds MRCP (UK) and FCPS (Medicine) qualifications and has interests in HIV medicine, opportunistic infections, acute care and medical education.

Dr. Amojedo studied Medical Laboratory Science at Central Philippine University, Philippines and graduated as Bachelor in 2012. She pursued Doctor of Medicine at the same university and received her degree in 2018. She entered West Visayas State University Medical Center for Internship in 2019 and passed Licensure examination the same year. She began her residency training in Internal Medicine at The Medical City Iloilo in 2020 and obtained board certification in 2023. Currently she works at The Medical City Iloilo as co-investigator for research and at Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital as medical officer and research associate.
